If your family is into winter sports, this mountain pledges to keep them busy. Skiing, boarding, cross-country, or go mechanized and try a snowmobile. Sleigh rides are available when you want to slow things down. Angel Fire has two high-speed quads, four freestyle terrain parks and a halfpipe and they like to make sure everyone has a good time on their mountain.
Angel Fire Resort Hotel has 139 spacious rooms and offers the easiest access to the slopes, a small indoor pool, hot tub, lounge, gift shop, restaurants, massage facility and more. The base village has hundreds of condominiums from studios to three-bedroom units.
Ski and snowboarding schools and "snow biking" daily. Three restaurants located on the front side of the mountain, one on the back side, and one at the summit. Rent ski equipment, snowboards, and ski boards. Fifty-two percent of the mountain covered by snowmaking, including 85 percent of beginner slopes.
Snowmobiling, sleigh and hay rides, ice fishing on the excellent Eagle Nest Lake, and three-lane inner tubing course (with a "magic carpet" lift and a course lit for night use).
Good terrain parks. Try Liberation Park and the newest, Lowrider. They are open for snowboarders, skiers, snowbikers, and skiboarders. Snowboarding on all open trails. Lessons and rentals are available.
