Over the summer, Stratton installed the longest covered magic carpet in New England, 500 feet long. The Southern Vermont resort had 17 trails going into Thanksgiving weekend, and came out with nine new ones - Upper and Lower Spruce, Upper and Lower East Meadow, Upper and Lower West Meadow, Drifter Link, Old Log Road and Mike's Way for a total of 126 acres of terrain served by three lifts.
