Lutsen Mountains has the distinction of hosting the Heartland's first Mardi Gras Carnival of the season the Feb. 1-2. You can get your fix of Creole food and drink specials. There will also be bead contests, a costume ball, and live music at Papa Charlies. Just leave a little time to enjoy all that great skiing and riding off four mountain peaks.
