Mammoth Welcomes Spring

Mammoth Mountain traditionally is the last winter sports resort in the Sierra to close its lifts, with a season that generally extends into June. So as a place well-known for spring skiing, what better place to kick out the vernal jams with a month-long Spring Fest? Among the diversions for the April 21-May 18 celebration are the Volcom Peanut Butter and Rail Jam Championship April 26, and the West Coast Invitational May 2-4 (a weekend of snowboarding and live concerts). There are also lodging specials that start at $111 per night and include a lift ticket, giveaways, and lift ticket deals (the Spring Value rate is $64 per day). Also, you can pick up next season's full season pass for half price ($786) and begin using it May 1.
