Events are planned into April at some areas, but the season is spinning into the time of year when skiers and riders should call before heading off to the slopes. Mohawk Mountain Madness Day is Saturday March 15, with games, prizes, music and a barbecue. Details: mohawkmtn.com. Ski Sundown has a Bump or Bust Dual Mogul Competition at 1 p.m. Sunday March 16 on Temptor. Registration begins at 11 a.m. Details: skisundown.com. Spring skiing means warmer, longer days; wear sunblock and sunglasses, dress appropriately.
