Summit-at-Snoqualmie is plunking down $4.5 million to replace the 20-year-old Silver Fir triple chair with a high-speed quad.

The new lift, not surprisingly dubbed the Silver Fir Express, will cut the ride time down from ten minutes to just over four; uphill capacity also be will upped to 2,400 riders per hour.

The lift, which is expected to be up and running by November, will not give access to new terrain, however.

That lift was always just a little sketch with over average breakdowns.
great news and money well spent.
i still don't reccomend going to summit west if you are anything over intermediate though.
