Castle Mountain is a rarity in Alberta, for it is the only ski resort where you can purchase privately-owned ski in-ski out properties. Single-family dwellings as well as duplexes, four-plexes, and condos are available. Castle Mountain's development plans do not include sprawling golf courses. Instead, development will confine itself to a core space surrounding the ski area base on the west side of the Westcastle River. The resort plans to maintain a compact development footprint with only 225 equivalent housing units and limited commercial projects.
