Beavertails Available At Mt. Washington

You likely know you can eat a Beavertail, if you are from east of Ottawa. You're probably a little leery, if you're from the opposite side of the country. No, I am not talking about a flat black tail off a bark-chewing rodent. I am talking about a big piece of flakey pastry that comes with toppings ranging from maple syrup to fresh baked apples. "This is good," says snowboarder Ineke Van de Leur. "I've never had one before but I'm kind of glad. If I knew I'd probably be 200 pounds by now." Although there are 133 stores, one of the only Beavertail outlets in Western Canada is located at the base of Mt. Washington, to the right of the entrance of the day lodge.
