SCOTT Vertic 2L Insulated Jacket review. OnTheSnow reviewed this insulated jacket as part of its 2016/2017 Jacket Buyers' Guide.

Favorite Features: Great Scott! Living out your freeride dreams just got a whole lot more comfortable with the Vertic 2L. We loved the understated, yet sharp colorways and the plush 650 fill down interior—couple with a silk-weight base layer and you’re good for all but the coldest days. With underarm venting, wrist gaiters, internal media pocket, powder skirt and an adjustable hood it’s safe to say the Vertic is in.

Room for Improvement: It was hard to find fault in this jacket, but if pressed, we’d like to see an increase in underarm ventilation; the mesh-backed pit zips are a nice touch, but may be insufficient on warmer days.

Fit: The Vertic 2L comes in a regular fit, giving it an athletic, yet comfortable look and feel. Expect this true-to-size offering to deliver ample coverage at all ends. Those with longer arms may find that the wrist gaiters pull on the thumbs.

Manufacturer Description: Expertly designed, the SCOTT Vertic 2L Insulated Jacket boasts 650 fill down for those colder days when keeping your core warm is of the upmost importance. There is no compromising of style, with a relaxed freeride fit, and features like an internal goggle pocket keep you focused on the mountain.
