Epic Passes have rolled out for next season, and the choices are broad. Here’s our shopping guide to sort out what Epic Pass will work best for you. 

Epic Pass

Who: For skiers and riders looking for unlimited access to 15 Vail Resorts.

Where: Unlimited access to Whistler Blackcomb, Park City, Kirkwood, Heavenly, Northstar, Vail, Beaver Creek, Keystone, Breckenridge, Arapahoe Basin, Mt. Brighton, Afton Alps, Stowe, Wilmot, Crested Butte, Mount Sunapee, Okemo, Stevens Pass and Perisher.

7-days at each: Telluride.

7-days total at: Fernie Alpine, Kimberley Alpine, Stoneham, Kicking Horse, Nakiska, Mont-Sainte Anne.

5-days total (consecutive) at Hakuba Valley, Japan: Hakuba47 Winter Sports Park, Hakuba Goryu Snow Resort, Hakuba Iwatake Snow Field, Jiigatake Snow Resort, Tsugaike Kogen Snow Resort, Hakuba Cortina Snow Resort, Hakuba Happo-One Snow Resort, Hakuba Norikura Onsen Snow Resort, Kashimayari Ski Resort.

Access to 30 European resorts across France, Italy, Switzerland and Austria.

Restrictions: None.

Cost: $899 adults, $469 kids ages 5-12.

Value: Pays for itself after five days. 

Epic Local Pass

Who: For unlimited skiing and riding at six Vail Resorts.

Where: Unlimited, unrestricted skiing or riding at Breckenridge, Keystone, Crested Butte, Mount Sunapee, Okemo, Wilmot, Afton Alps, Mt. Brighton, Steven Pass and Arapahoe Basin with limited restrictions at Park City, Heavenly, Northstar, Kirkwood, and Stowe. Also includes a total of 10 days at Vail, Beaver Creek and Whistler Blackcomb with holiday restrictions. 

5-days total (consecutive) at Hakuba Valley, Japan: Hakuba47 Winter Sports Park, Hakuba Goryu Snow Resort, Hakuba Iwatake Snow Field, Jiigatake Snow Resort, Tsugaike Kogen Snow Resort, Hakuba Cortina Snow Resort, Hakuba Happo-One Snow Resort, Hakuba Norikura Onsen Snow Resort, Kashimayari Ski Resort.

Restrictions: Vail, Beaver Creek, and Whistler Blackcomb are restricted: 11/23/18-11/24/18, 12/26/18-12/31/18, 01/19/19, 02/16/19-02/17/19. Park City, Heavenly, Northstar, Kirkwood, and Stowe are restricted: 11/23/18-11/24/18, 12/26/18-12/31/18, 01/19/19, 02/16/19-02/17/19.

Cost: $669 adults, $549 teen ages 13-18, $359 kids ages 5-12.

Value: Pays for itself in four days.

Tahoe Passes

Who: For Lake Tahoe fans.

Where: Heavenly, Kirkwood and Northstar.

Tahoe Local Pass: Unlimited skiing or riding at Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood seven days a week, with limited holiday restrictions. Saturdays included at all resorts. 5 total holiday restricted days at: Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, Park City, Arapahoe Basin.

Tahoe Value Pass: Access to Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood with limited restrictions. All Saturdays restricted at Northstar and Kirkwood.

Cost: Tahoe Local Pass—$569 adults, $459 teen ages 13-18 and $289 kids ages 5-12; Tahoe Value Pass—$489 adults, $409 teen ages 13-18, $239 kids ages 5-12, $409 seniors.

Epic 4-Day and 7-Day

Who: Best for those planning a one-week vacation or short getaway to one or more of the Vail Resorts.

Where: 4-Day: A total of four unrestricted days valid at Vail, Beaver Creek, Whistler Blackcomb, Breckenridge, Keystone, Park City, Heavenly, Northstar, Kirkwood, Arapahoe Basin, Telluride, Crested Butte, Okemo, Mount Sunapee, Stevens Pass and Resorts of the Canadian Rockies (Fernie Alpine Resort, Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, Kimberley Alpine Resort, Nakiska, Mont Sainte Anne, and Stoneham), plus four free days at Wilmot, Afton Alps or Mt. Brighton.

7-Day: A total of seven unrestricted days valid at Vail, Beaver Creek, Whistler Blackcomb, Breckenridge, Keystone, Park City, Heavenly, Northstar, Kirkwood, Arapahoe Basin, Telluride, Crested Butte, Okemo, Mount Sunapee, Stevens Pass and Resorts of the Canadian Rockies (Fernie Alpine Resort, Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, Kimberley Alpine Resort, Nakiska, Mont Sainte Anne, and Stoneham), plus seven free days at Wilmot, Afton Alps or Mt. Brighton. 

Cost: Epic 4-Day ($439 adults, $239 kids ages 5-12) and Epic 7-Day ($669 adults, $359 kids ages 5-12).

Colorado Passes

Who: For Colorado residents and some visitors.

Summit Value Pass: Unlimited skiing and riding at Keystone, Arapahoe Basin and limited restrictions at Breckenridge.

Keystone-Arapahoe Basin Pass: Ski or ride to your heart’s content at Keystone and Arapahoe Basin, with the exception of holiday periods.

Cost: Summit Value ($549 adults, $449 teen ages 13-18, $309 kids ages 5-12) and Keystone-Arapahoe ($349 adults, $249 kids ages 5-12).

Epic Australia Pass

Who: For Aussies who ski Perisher and plan to visit the U.S. for a ski holiday.

Where: Unlimited, unrestricted access to Perisher for the 2018 season. Access to Breckenridge, Keystone, Arapahoe Basin in Colorado; Park City in Utah; Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood in the Lake Tahoe region of California; and Stowe in Vermont from November 2018 - April 2019 (holiday restrictions apply). 10 days combined between Whistler Blackcomb, Vail and Beaver Creek during the 2018/2019 season, from November 2018 - April 2019 (holiday restrictions apply). The days do not have to be used consecutively. 7 days of skiing or snowboarding at each of Crested Butte, Okemo and Mount Sunapee with no blackout dates, a total of 21 days. Five consecutive days with no blackout dates at Hakuba Valley, Japan for the 2018 - 2019 season.

Restrictions: 

Lift access at all U.S. resorts and Whistler Blackcomb is restricted during the following periods: 11/23/18-11/24/18, 12/19/18-12/31/18, 1/19/19, 2/16/19-2/17/19, 3/9/19, 3/16/19, 3/23/19
