The village of Meribel was built respecting the traditional architectural style which appreciates the harmony between man, mountain and the environment. Méribel-Mottaret is a warm and friendly hamlet, conveniently positioned right on the slopes. Located in the heart of the 3 Valleys, the privileged ski resort of Meribel has easy access to a wide variety of skiing within the surrounding area. The 3 Valleys in the largest linked ski area in the world and is joined together by some of the best ski lift systems around. Méribel is the ideal starting point for the 600 km of skiing in the 3 Valleys ski area! Apart from ski slopes for absolutely all abilities already which were already there, Meribel also has two new areas that have just been completed: - Méribel-Mottaret, the Plattières Snowpark: 7 hectares and 1200 m long, the snow park is equipped with jumps, whoops, banks and two half pipes. The park has been built in such a way that skiers and snowboarders of all abilities can discover freestylin' in safety. Nearby, «le chemin des écoliers", an initiation bordercross course for families and children. - In Meribel, the Moonpark: 1000m long and 200m wide, 4 different courses each with a sequence of jumps, rails and boxes. A bordercross course for experts with banked corners and big obstacles completes the picture. For those looking to learn to ski safely, Meribel has introduced the Mini-Pass package. A reduced price lift pass open to beginners and families with children. The area is made up of two small areas with green and blue slopes. As for activities, there is a whole range of choice: - For the most active: snowshoeing, sleigh rides, snowmobiling, paragliding, ice rink and a climbing wall - For those more contemplative: wellness centre, a pool and a spa - To end the day: shopping, library, cinemas, bowling, nightclubs and over 80 restaurants and bars For kids Méribel has it sorted: The drop-in crèche "Les Saturnins", the day-care centre "Piwi Piwi Club", child-minders and baby-sitters are all on hand.
