I’m a horrendous skier, still learning. So I’m trapped at the bunny hill. Well a few kids get on the conveyor behind me and start to walk instead of ride it, shaking the conveyor the entire way. They come up behind me and make an auditable groan then mutter some some stuff about me because I cannot walk up the conveyor. They get off the conveyor mid way, pass me then get back on, shaking the conveyor with each step. Then they get to the top and purposefully trip it, so it’s stopped, then they laugh and look back and yell “sorry”. The wonderful employee in the box just sits there and watches me walk up the rest of the way in skis. Then only after several minutes later gets out and turns it back on. Also the beginner trails were not in operation except one. Stick to Mt Holly/Pine Knob. Overt smell of the herb. Sleeping chair lift operators. Dilapidated locker room & bathroom. Manager didn’t have a care in the world. Had so much fun!

Decided to take the boys to Alpine 12/16/17 after 12 inches of new snow over the week prior. Their highest and best run Glacier was not ready, groomers were working vividly trying to get it ready, but it was obvious that there was no attempt in prepping the trail the days before. Only 3 lifts were open and the cafeteria had a very limited menu available. Very disappointed in the ski resort for not being ready that weekend, especially when they were charging full price lift tickets.

I'd love it if I lived here, but as a traveler it was a bit... "Mehhhh"...gets the job done, but I'm unlikely to go twice. Jumps straight from pretty boring blues to pretty scary blacks. The lifts are janky, steep for newbies, lack cushions, and will freeze your butt off. Come prepared for roughing it a little and you'll be fine.

Alpine is the closest hill to where live so I go there instead of making $600+ dollar trips to Northern MI. The hill is great for Greens and blues (slightly steeper greens) but if you've been on a real mountain, alpine can get boring after a few runs. Not to mention you're spending more time riding the painfully slow lifts than actually skiing. The terrain parks are pretty OK after they get them up. the facilities are old and outdated but I'm there to ski so I don't mind too much. I've noticed some high school girl's ski team comes there a lot and hogs about 70% of the Everest run. It can be annoying at times, especially when they are your typical stuck up ski race girl. One of them knocked all of my stuff off a table in the lodge and just looked at me with an oops look and didn't say anything or offer help to pick it up. All in all, I give alpine 2 stars because this hill isn't worth the price, the equipment and lodge is very outdated/slow, and unless you are a park rat or only like the smallest parts of the hill you have about a 90% chance of a nasty encounter with high school ski team girls.

Good small hill, decent terrain park, food is mediocre, rentals are ok.

It is a great place for family although it is a bit pricie nice lodge and nice employees.

Overall pretty good for a Michigan ski place. The lodge could use some work though.
Two track runs that are pretty good. A few choices on runs.
It was really icy when I went. Runs are pretty short. Kind of a run down looking lodge.

overall a good experience I did like the fireplace in the lodge.
great lodge and steeper hills.
renting skis is a chore. you need to transverse 4 floors to rent skis. Mt Holly is much better lift ticket office ski school and rental all on same level.

Best ski conditions in several years; very family/kid friendly; lift ops are great. Good boarding events.
Best terrain in lower Michigan
Limited advanced area
